I also tended to shove people into MAPP without them asking.

Speaking from my own experience, it's better to have no plot idea at all than an underdeveloped one. MAPP footled around for six strips before I picked up on my first plotline.

I double that. What you really need is 6(or so)-panel scripts.

Paul is a popular character for being the definitive Worm sciency dude, and Alien King has been the central villain force of quite a few forum comics by this point. They're just very likable characters for some reason.

Ok, as some of you may have noticed, I deleted my post ^^^^. I have changed my sigworm and it is this.

Tgworm (T.G.)

Background:Tgworm is a young worm of only five years old (worm years). He is growing up in the countryside. His parent love and cherish him but he has always been mischevious and adventurous. He once escaped from his parents' loving grip and stumbled upon a town where he found an old, disregarded war helmet. He has worn it ever since. When he was two, a small robin landed on his tail, Tgworm admired it's flight and they have become good friends. Tgworm now goes nowhere without Robby. Robby and he spend alot of time in the garden, pondering about life.
Personality:Tgworm keeps himself to himself alot and is surprisingly clever for a five year old. His main love is Robby but he is also quite fond of his parents.
Weapons: T.G. usually gets robby to fight most of his battles but when he does get into combat he usually uses his dummy to suffocate the enemy .
Favourite Phrases:"Come on Robby, lets go!" "Get off me mummy!"
Likes/Dislikes:Tgworm likes anything that flies and is fascinated with the concept. He is sure that one day he will fly. T.G. hates the moon, he thinks it plots against him.

tgworm, that's possibly the most boring worm ever made. there is literally nothing interesting about that character in either physical appearance or personality behind it. I would be seriously surprised if anyone knows much less uses that sig after a week.
