Trying to play WA online

Hi, I am having difficulty getting WA to work online.
I recently bought a brand new copy of WA from a distributor on e-bay, hoping to get back into that blast of nostalgic action...
alas, I am presented with an error after clicking on Wormnet and then choosing the UK server: it tries connecting a moment and then it gives me the message "fatal error during gameserver connection, disconnecting".

I'll note that I am on Windows 7, 32bit, I have no colour issues, and am not aware of any firewall that should be a problem causer, since I never needed to change any firewall kinda stuff when playing other games online.

If I were you, I'd start here in the FAQ and work my way down: http://worms2d.info/Troubleshooting_...othing_happens

WormNet is technically a glorified IRC network and some security software seems to think that IRC is bad, so it blocks anything using port 6667 from connecting. There's no telling if this is the case here, but it's possible, so I guess first check if you have anything mentioned in the troubleshooting FAQ running, then try again with the relevant options disabled.

Yeah, first check the software, and then, if nothing helped, it could be a block from your ISP's side (i remember some polish players having that kind of problem with one of their ISP...). If you're strongly sure about the ISP restrictions, contact them

I've seen that FAQ, nothing seemed relevant to my issue...
What is PeerGuardian and how would I reconfigure or disable it? (I don't think I even have it)
What is Wormkit, and is it essential for play?
Also, I have Windows 7...somewhere I read this may be related to certain issues?

Probably useless bit of advice, but make sure you have patched your game to the latest version, 3.6.31.0.

You may want to see if you can connect to the Wormnet using ProSnooper, available here: http://prosnooper.sourceforge.net/download.html

These connection problems are common for noobs and very easily resolvable - don't give up!

Embarrassingly enough, yes I just needed to patch it...I'm not used to such simple issues/solutions so I didn't even think about that heh.
