How do you prevent the xbox 360 controller from turning the xbox 360 on?
I'm trying to connect my xbox 360 controller to my pc (I know how). But my xbox keeps interfering and turns on everytime i turn the controller on. Any way to prevent this?

This is hilarious.

If it's turning your Xbox on, it's not sync'd to your PC. If you're trying to jury-rig a system using a Bluetooth adapter or some such ****, know that it's not 100% reliable. You may want to just go out and buy the Microsoft Xbox 360 PC wireless receiver add-on. It's dirt-cheap these days, and it's the easiest way to sync a 360 controller to your PC.

Or, y'know, just buy a wired 360 controller. It's the same bloody thing.

YES, you could simply use a standard play and charge kit connected to your pc...
Instead of turning the controller on, just plug it in and it will sync the controller to your pc. + Job done...

Works well with the wireless adapter or can be used alone with just the Play and charge kit.

LMAO @ philby4000's suggestion

Erm, actually... no. Plugging a 360 controller into a PC via the Play and Charge kit won't sync the controller up to a PC - it will only allow you to charge your controller using the PC's USB ports.

Actgually your right, I do apologise I'm mistaken...
Maybe it only does so in my particular setup because I have one of these badboys constantly attached to a PC usb port.
