is it worth starting some sort of team17 linux community?
Are there enough people who use linux and would like to play team17 games on linux to make it worth starting some sort of..thing..that would help those people to exchange..information..about that?
Also, I don't really know how these things are done.

I'll be back to linux again soon, when I get my new (well, replacement) hard disc.
So I'd be interested, but I'll admit I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to set up. |

I use Linux for work and stuff, sure, I'm interested.

I only use Windows for playing W:A. So count me in.

Well, there isn't anything to count you in TO. I suck at communities.
I guess I could make some livejournal group or something (anything more convenient for people?) and forward anything of interest from the wine community.

I've just tried your How To on getting WA to run under WINE, and it works! This is great! There's no sound at the moment, but I'm not sure wether that's linux, WA or simply my Hi-Fi. I'll fiddle about with it later
![]() With my new hard disc I've set up a dual boot again, XP and SUSE 10.1 So far I've managed to get Steam and Red Orchestra and WA to run under linux! Plus Darwinia and UT2004 come with linux installers anyway! I'm running out of reasons to switch back to windows now. |

One reason might be "WA is horribly slow at high resolutions". You know, because it is here. Just thought I'd mention that..

It turned out to be the settings in WINE, I've set the sound to "emulate" rather than "hardware" and it works. Bit fuzzy, but better than none at all.
