In theory it'd only take an hour for me to download... but even if I could play it I doubt it'd grip me for that long.

Battlefield 2142 is as much BF3 as Battlefield Vietnam is BF2.

I've got a GF4 too! *joins club* Not an mx though.

It runs all the games I own too, which includes some brand new ones! And since Introversion have just shown they can produce fantastic new games without the need for stupidly high specs, I'm turning against the idea of having to fork out large sums of money just to get a slightly altered sequal of a game that already works.

Download it through EA downloader,goes heck lotta faster then.

My time to download took 1 hour 30 min!

100mbit is available in most cities now I should think. Lot's of people I know have it. Or even 1gbit lines for company's that need it.. but I live too far out so I only got 24/1.

Not in the UK, 10Mbit is available in some areas, but for example the maximum i can get is 2.

god I hate you guys with decent internet, I'm stuck with barely above dial-up speeds cause my dad is cheap and I'm stuck in his house for a bit longer....

anyway, just want to let people know this demo is kinda crap. the full game is about 50x better based on my experience with the levelling up in the beta. the level in the demo is crap as well.....anyway, enjoy your gaming, if you see "xelioth" in-game say something so I can *** your face as quickly as possible

I'm very doubtful of that since Introversion's Defcon keeps crashing my graphics card. (and a few others, apparently)

Anyways no chance am I clearing up 2.2gb just for the demo.

Ooh? You suffer from the infamous radion 9000 series...crashy thing? Could well just be the openGL.

In theory though, if it didn't crash (which it doesn't for me

), it'd require less specs.

Gameplay needs to be fun too, not ONLY unlocks..

well you can tell in the demo that it's a battlefield game, and as such the gameplay will be along those lines, they've not screwed that part up at all, but the unlocks add so much to the gameplay that it's just ridiculous.
