I'm not seeing anything... if this falls through due to robowurmz not having the time to do the update, one of us will have to step into the void he leaves.

After all the work so far, it'd be a shame to see this thread go down the drain due to an over-eager mod closing a non-moving thread.

"non-moving"? unmoving? stalled... 'stalled' would have been better...

PS: I'm not gonna be able to do this one. I'm OK with lending a hand but I haven't the time to do it all.

It's not even alot of work. I would do it but Secret Purse Project is keeping me busy, and when it's done, I'm thinking this thread will get a huge boost in views.

Don't let this thread die, folks!

Real sorry about the lack of updates, but it's one thing after another over here.

Maybe somebody else could shoulder the burden for a while until I can get everything worked out.

why dont we make a team where we can divide a little work to some people here and there, and take turns to do different things? that'll get everything up and running.

I'm in. Anybody else want to so we can get this thing rolling? I wouldn't be able to do the whole thing because of the afromentioned, but in little sections I may be able to contribute.

Count me in. My exams are over so i could help.

robowurmz, i'll compile a list of people in the team once, at least, 5 people join (three more to go currently)

and.. make up for a name of the team! i suggest Longswordian Management Team (LMT)

ok heres the list.. just 2 more people to join the team and then robowurmz can divide the work for us to do! this game cant go on if we dont co-operate. come on, 6 pages for nothing?

Currently 3 people are in the LMT (voluntarily or not), that are farazparsa, pieman280 and me..!

You can start giving us work now, by PM or by posting here

Well, you guys could take it in turns to do the updates, and the ones not doing the update could compile lists of updates to be done or design what various items on the islands could look like.

Also, I'll appear from time to time in the LMT, maybe with something interesting, or maybe just to have a look and see how it's going.

New rule (pending request):

All actions are to be logged and take the following number of turns (you can do sumthin else meanwhile):

Direct orders to citizens (slavery, etc) = 1 turn
Direct orders to citizens involving hard work to accomplish (farming, etc) = 2 turns
Research of basic tech (boating, etc) = 2 turns
Research of medium tech (aviation, submarines, defensive units, etc) = 3 turns
Research of advanced tech (rockets, radars, advanced warfare units, etc) = 4 turns
Research of scientific hi tech (nuclear, atoms, etc) = 6 turns
Application of tech (prototypes, not for mass usage) = 1 turn
Application of basic tech (construction of boats, etc) = 2 turns
Application of med tech (constr. of aviations, etc) = 3 turns
Application of advanced tech (constr. of rockets, etc) = 4 turns
Application of scientific hi tech (construction of nuclear/atom bombs, etc) = 6 turns

btw, you cant research something while constructing them at the same time!

I await the approval of these rules to prevent cheating/flooding in BoL.

And I request the forfeiture of my country. Thus, I can be the representative of the citizens in every country (to update on their thoughts, feelings, state, etc)

So, for example, if a country researches nuclear, I may post that a few citizens have died due to radiation exposure and express their anger (on behalf of them).

Then robowurmz wouldnt take so much trouble.

Here's a list of countries (i know yappydawg compiled one already, but this is more specific.)

That's "yappydog", thank-you-very-much, so I'd like that changed sharpish. We've not all got American accents, you know.

On a more rational note, who's doing what, now? People are offering to help, but without a task to do, nothing's getting achieved. Like I say, I'm happy to help in small bits, so sign me up to the LMT.
I guess the next thing is to go back through the compilation of tasks I typed up before, and assign each one a yauhui-length (thanks for working out some sensible divisions). Then we can see what needs doing when.

Oh, and yauhui? Do those values have to be done in order?
(e.g. From 'Nothing' to 'Application of Med Tech'

= Research of basic tech
+ Research of medium tech
+ Application of tech (prototyping)
+ Application of basic tech {In reality you might skip this}
+ Application of med tech

= 2 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 3

= 11 = 9 turns to complete)

If so, we're in for a long game...!
